University of Dayton lands $50 million fuel research contract with Air Force

The University of Dayton Research Institute has landed a $50 million contract to study fuels for the U.S. Air Force.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced the award late Friday.

Under the contract, UDRI will investigate and evaluate advanced fuels and fuel technologies, fuel systems component development, advance combustor and augmenter designs, advanced fuel properties measurement, fuel system component development and safety, combustion emissions and their integration into advanced aerospace applications Online payday loans.

The work will be done for the propulsion directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The announcement did not specify if the contract would lead to new jobs at the institute.

UDRI officials could not be reached for comment.
