Colorado’s Pico-Tesla opening East Coast HQ in Florida

Pico-Tesla Magnetic Therapies LLC of Colorado is opening an East Coast headquarters in Clearwater, Fla.
The Littleton-based medical research and device development firm has leased 4,000 square feet of office space at Clearwater's Airport Business Center from Hallmark Development of Florida Inc.
Pico-Tesla chose the office for its proximity to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport, according to a statement from Hallmark. The location, slated to open April 15, will enable Pico-Tesla to accelerate enrollment in ongoing clinical trials for Parkinson’s disease and type 2 diabetes.
The company has said it aims to show that magnetic fields can make medication more effective for patients with diabetes and Parkinson’s — and to build a business around the technology.
Pico-Tesla has been trying to prove the potential of a machine invented by founder Jerry Jacobson, a former dentist. He’s worked on his Jacobson Resonator for more than 15 years. It’s attracted interest from scientists, most recently a pair of research doctors, who see promise in the experimental device.
Pico-Tesla's CEO, Allen Braswell, is a Clearwater area native. “It’s nice to get back home and pursue this exciting business opportunity in a place where I have so many friends and family,” Braswell said in a release.
